Our Undergraduate Fellows Have Big Plans!
Samantha Boisvert
Samantha graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in International Studies. She will attend the University of Michigan beginning in the fall to pursue a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry.
Zoe Golomb
Zoe graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in History and International Studies. She was awarded a Fulbright from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Association to serve as an English Teaching Assistant in the Slovak Republic for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Natalia Lopez
Natalia is an Honors student majoring in Economics and Political Science at the University of Florida. This summer, she was selected to participate in the American Enterprise Institute’s Summer Honors Program. Additionally, Natalia is serving as a fellow in the Hudson Institute’s Political Studies Program, a six-week study of the theory and practice of politics.
Nathan Mei
Nathan is pursuing a degree in English and Psychology at the University of Florida. In June, Nathan traveled to Taiwan, where he is spending the summer teaching English to underprivileged students.
Joshua Nemery
Joshua is pursuing a degree in Political Science and Government at the University of Florida. Following the conclusion of his research internship at the Hudson Institute, he will serve as a volunteer instructor at Summit Bechtel Reserve Boy Scout Camp in West Virginia.
Melvin Opoku
Melvin is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida. This summer, he traveled back to his home country of Ghana for the first time since leaving 4 years ago. After visiting his family in Ghana, Melvin is spending the summer at Princeton University to work with Professor Mala Murthy, a renowned neuroscientist who specializes in understanding how brain activity transcribes into behavioral patterns.
Mathis Paulhiac
Mathis is an International Studies and Marketing student at the University of Florida. This summer, he participated in the American Enterprise Institute’s Summer Honors Program. Following his completion of the program, Mathis is beginning a study abroad program in Wales, where he is interning at a local family law center and conducting research in international affairs.
Colton Shepard
Colton graduated with his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida, Next year, he will attend the University of Texas at Austin to pursue his Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering.
Andrew Spraker
Andrew graduated with his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Florida. Immediately after graduation, he participated in the American Enterprise Institute’s Summer Honors Program. This summer, Andrew is continuing his search for a full-time job in the international relations and security field.
Liz Thomason
Liz is pursuing a degree in Political Science and French at the University of Florida. This summer, she is preparing for the law school application process and beginning research for her senior thesis. During the month of July, Liz is studying abroad at the Université Catholique de Lille in France before returning to Gainesville to prepare for the start of the fall semester.
Natalie Triana
Natalie is an Honors student at the University of Florida studying Economics, Political Science, and Sustainability. This summer, she is finalizing her Honors Economics thesis while studying for the LSAT. Natalie was also awarded the prestigious Udall Scholarship and will attend the Scholar Orientation in Tucson, Arizona later this summer.
Daniel Youakim
Daniel graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and Government. This summer, Daniel is studying for the LSAT with the goal of attending law school and specializing in International Law.
Junhao Zhang
Junhao graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics and B.A. in Astronomy. This summer, he is conducting research in computational astrophysics research, focusing on exoplanet systems simulation. Following the completion of his research, Junhao will enlist in the United States Air Force.
