Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

The process for submitting an application to become an undergraduate Hamilton student depends upon one’s classification. Applicants are encouraged to read all policies relating to admission and to meet with an academic advisor to answer questions regarding the admission process.

There are three ways to become an undergraduate Hamilton student:

  • Freshman
  • Transfer
  • Current UF Student

Becoming a Hamilton Undergraduate Student:

  • Freshmen

    Students who fall into this category apply directly to the University of Florida Office of Admission. Students who are pursuing on-campus admission may select a Hamilton major as their intended major.

  • Transfer

    Community or state college transfers, and transfers from other universities, are welcome and encouraged to apply for admission into our Hamilton majors. Our admissions committee uses an applicant pool to select candidates for admission to Bachelor of Arts degree programs in the Hamilton School. All applications that meet the minimum requirements are placed into a pool from which the most qualified are selected for admission each term. Prospective applicants should pay careful attention to the minimum requirements as described below in order to be a competitive applicant.

    Transfer Minimum Requirements

    Students in this category apply through the University of Florida Office of Admission and are forwarded to our Hamilton admissions committee.

  • Current UF Students

    Current UF students wishing to switch to or add on a double major with the Hamilton School should consult with a Hamilton advisor as soon as possible.
